More disturbing than Marcel and Sebastian’s addiction is their father’s role in their addiction. I believe that in addition to being their enabler, allowing the two young men to continue with their drug use in his home and on his dime gives Dad a sense of purpose and a sense of being needed. Because the father does not know how to control situations, losing the only control that he knows (being controlled by his children) could likely cause the Dad to spiral out of control. This family needs serious, serious therapy. Best wishes to big brother!
